If you’re interested in playing on the PLS Volleyball Team through @uhrecreation , please be sure to come to tryouts this Thursday from 6:30-7:30PM! The season will run from March 30-April 17. We will be located at the indoor volleyball courts in the Recreation Center.

Sharing memories from our trip to UT Law School and the Texas State Capitol 🫶

This Friday, our UH Pre-Law Society family hopped on a charter bus and made the trip to Austin together and it was truly such a special experience for all of us. 🧡⚖️

We explored the Texas State Capitol and had the incredible opportunity to attend a private guided tour of UT School of Law. Our members met student representatives, asked thoughtful questions, sat inside real classrooms and mock courtrooms, and got an authentic glimpse into what life is like as a UT Austin law student. 🏛️📖

We are beyond grateful for every member who shared this experience with us. These are the moments that make our organization feel like more than just a club it’s a community. To making more memories like this together. 🤘📚✨

The Pre-Law Society at the University of Houston is honored to introduce our 2025–2026 Pre-Law Legal Research Fellows, Claire Ngo and Tara Murphy.

In collaboration with faculty at the University of Houston Law Center and the UHLC Law Library, our fellows will have the opportunity to conduct law school caliber legal research on a topic of their choice, culminating in a thoroughly researched law review–style article.

Throughout the semester, they will be mentored by UHLC faculty in their respective fields of study, gaining direct guidance and insight into advanced legal scholarship.

In addition to receiving a scholarship to support their work, the fellows will present their research at our end-of-year Research Symposium hosted at UHLC. This fellowship offers a transformative semester, allowing students to conduct research at the highest level, engage closely with faculty in their chosen field, and develop the analytical skills essential to the legal profession.

We will be having our Food Drive ALL WEEK (Feb 16-19) with Houston Food Bank! Please bring your donated supplies to SCN Carrel space #66 during our office hours!

On Monday, February 16th, Kaplan will be holding a logical reasoning session for PLS members in SCS Senate Chamber. This is a great opportunity to get prepared for the LSAT (& it’s free!!).

On Thursday, February 19th, Attorney Omar Vargas will be having his own Meet a Lawyer event! If you’re interested in Criminal, Immigration, or Criminal Defense law, please make sure to attend and connect with him!!

HOUSTON BAR ASSOCIATION FUN RUN THIS SATURDAY!! If you’re interested in connecting with attorneys, please make sure to register and volunteer with us! We will have two separate shifts for this (one from 6am-10am and one from 10am-12pm).

BREAKTHROUGH VOLUNTEERING this Saturday from 9am-1pm! Come help teach & work with underprivileged middle schoolers!!
