Pre-Law Scholars Research Fellowship

Program
Beginning Fall 2025, the UH Pre-Law Society in collaboration with UHLC (University of Houston Law Center) faculty established the prestigious pre-law scholars research fellowship program.
The program gives two active pre-law society students the opportunity to conduct law school caliber legal research in any topic of their choice, to produce a thoroughly researched law review article. Selected fellows will get the opportunity to be mentored by various UHLC faculty in their field of study, present their research at URD (Undergraduate Research Day) and at our end of the year symposium hosted at UHLC.
Application
2025-2026 Fellows
Applications for the 2025-2026 Pre-Law Scholars Research Fellowship have officially closed. Applications for 2026-2027 will open Fall 2026.
Scholarship
The fellowship is a year-long commitment, which is why selected fellows will receive a scholarship funded by the UH Pre-Law Society in recognition for their research.
Mission
Law is constantly shaped and reshaped by moral debate and social change, continued legal research is vital for a system that is constructed to be purely just. The pre-law scholars research fellowship is dedicated to introducing pre-law students to the foundations of legal research, equipping them with the skills and insight necessary for lasting success in the legal profession.
